U13’s
The U13’s, Captained by Ruby Van Hal, started hesitantly against Jura, having to immediately go into their next match against GGNA. They worked very hard and never gave up. They played another 3 matches, which gave us a great opportunity to let the girls try out new positions. This produced some really exciting netball as the girls found their feet and started to gel as a team. Well done girls, Ruby you made a great Centre, Sarah and Esmé were a strong partnership in attacking positions. Laetitia and Julia playing exceptionally well in their first tournament, both show great potential. The younger members of the team, Freya and Jessie, both 9, played really well and were not overfaced considering they were up against mainly 12-13 year olds!
U15’s
Captained by Alexia Moeller, the U15’s were unrecognisable from the team that played here 12 months ago! With only 7 girls available and no substitutes we emphasised the need for the girls to play a thinking game, it was crucial they paced themselves and avoided injury. They took everything on board. Against a very strong Meinier they played impressively, we witnessed some fantastic netball from our girls, with strong passing, admirable movement around the court and great shooting. We were very excited to find a fantastic Goal Shooter in Laetitia (her first tournament) working really well in the circle with Alexia. Romie and Catherine, showed their amazing flexibility in being able to play Centre or defence formidably. Mia was, arguably, one of the fastest Wing Attacks on the day, winning every Centre Pass thrown in her direction. Rosa, provided a steady and reliable pair of hands in defence and Alicia, also playing in her first tournament worked really hard and proved herself to be a great asset to the team. The girls won their match against Les Citrons Verts, I’m sure the shouts of delight could be heard at the Motor Show!
In summary, the girls finished the day exhausted but very happy. We are so proud of them in so many ways. For the massive improvement in their netball ability, for their wonderful humour and great team spirit and mostly for just being great girls to be around. Well done girls. Special thanks to those parents that came along to support the girls, that is very much appreciated.

Les U13, captained par Ruby Van Hal, ont commencé hésitamment contre le Jura, devant immédiatement aller dans leur prochain match contre GGNA. Ils ont travaillé très dur et n’ont jamais abandonné. Ils ont joué trois autres matchs, ce qui nous a donné une excellente occasion de laisser les filles essayer de nouveaux postes. Cela a produit quelques netball vraiment passionnant que les filles ont trouvé leurs pieds et ont commencé à gel en tant qu’équipe. Bravo les filles, Ruby vous avez fait un grand Centre, Sarah et Esmé ont été un solide partenariat dans les positions d’attaque. Laetitia et Julia jouent exceptionnellement bien dans leur premier tournoi, les deux montrent un grand potentiel. Les jeunes membres de l’équipe, Freya et Jessie, tous deux 9, ont vraiment bien joué et n’ont pas peur considérant qu’ils étaient contre principalement 12-13 ans!
U15’s
Captained par Alexia Moeller, les U15 étaient méconnaissables de l’équipe qui a joué ici il ya 12 mois! Avec seulement 7 filles disponibles et pas de substituts, nous avons souligné la nécessité pour les filles de jouer un jeu de réflexion, il était crucial qu’ils se rythme eux-mêmes et éviter les blessures. Ils ont tout pris à bord. Contre un Meinier très fort ils ont joué impressionnant, nous avons assisté à quelque netball fantastique de nos filles, avec le passage fort, le mouvement admirable autour de la cour et le grand tir. Nous étions très enthousiastes à l’idée de trouver un fantastique Goal Shooter à Laetitia (son premier tournoi) qui fonctionnait vraiment bien dans le cercle avec Alexia. Romie et Catherine, ont montré leur flexibilité étonnante en étant capable de jouer Centre ou la défense formidable. Mia était, sans doute, l’une des Attaques d’aile les plus rapides de la journée, remportant tous les passes du Centre jetés dans sa direction. Rosa, a fourni une paire stable et fiable de la main dans la défense et Alicia, jouer également dans son premier tournoi a travaillé très dur et s’est avéré être un grand atout à l’équipe. Les filles ont gagné leur match contre Les Citrons Verts, je suis sûr que les cris de joie pourraient être entendus au Salon de l’automobile!
En résumé, les filles ont terminé la journée épuisée mais très heureuse. Nous sommes si fiers d’eux à bien des égards. Pour l’amélioration massive de leur capacité de netball, pour leur humour merveilleux et grand esprit d’équipe et surtout pour être juste de grandes filles d’être autour. Les filles bien jouées. Un grand merci à ces parents qui sont venus pour soutenir les filles, c’est très apprécié
